Today it is next to impossible to not hear about #GivingTuesday. After Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is a dedicated day of giving. It began as a small social media movement that has grown to become a national cause.

The beauty of Giving Tuesday is that it is easy to be a part of it. Any gift has impact, especially when combined with the generosity of others. The impact of even $5 can be substantial. A great example of this happened, interestingly enough on Black Friday when the makers of the uber popular game Cards Against Humanity closed it’s website to sales. Instead, they offered customers the opportunity to $5, for, get this, NOTHING! They did over $70,000 in “sales” that day and made national headlines, check one out here.

This is a great example of how even with a nominal amount, the impact can be huge. As we are still without a state budget, which means no state funding, community support is critical. Every dollar makes a difference. Your donation will go to local Easter Seals programs and services.
